A Showcase for Crème de la Crème Designers

Design Trust, an initiative of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design collaborated with Archigram to recreate their signature portable metropolis at Design Trust Gala 2019. It was themed ‘The Archigram City’ and held at the Grand Ballroom of Kerry Hotel, a subsidiary of The Shangri-La Group. Creative Directors, Sir Peter Cook and Dennis Crompton, founders of the 1960s collective present at the event, inspired four Design Trust Grantees to collectively create together a multi-sensory series of installations, generated from Archigram’s archival works and drawings to create participatory works for the evening event. ‘The Archigram City’ brought together the region’s creative talents and connoisseurs to support the registered charity, DESIGN TRUST, an initiative of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design.
