Brazil’s Independence Day 2024 was celebrated in style at an elegant high tea event that showcased both Brazilian culture and diplomacy. The event was hosted by H.E. Ary Quintella, the Ambassador of Brazil to Malaysia and the gathering was further elevated by the presence of YB Tuan Nik Nazmi Bin Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry and YAM Tunku Mariam Zaharah almarhum Sultan Iskandar.

This sophisticated gathering highlighted Brazil’s enduring relationship between Brazil and Malaysia. H.E. Ary Quintella’s role as host added a diplomatic touch, emphasising the significance of the occasion. The menu featured Acarajé with Vatapa, bean and onion cakes with shrimp, a beloved Brazilian street food; Coxinha, crispy Brazilian chicken croquettes; Bobó de Camarão, a Brazilian shrimp stew; and Fish Moqueca, a traditional Brazilian fish stew. Each dish was meticulously crafted to reflect authentic flavours and provide a true taste of Brazil.
