In the coastal town of Xiangzhi, Shishi — stepped in sea breeze and cultural heritage — Mr. Cabbeen staged a fashion runway atop the harbour’s breakwater. Between mountains and seas, with waves as its curtain, the show titled “Across Mountains and Seas, Born with the Tide” opened as both a fashion showcase and a dialogue between tradition and innovation.

Marking the grand opening of Quanzhou Fashion Week, the event set the stage for deeper industry collaboration. A dazzling line-up of stars and guests graced the scene. Guided by host An Hu, celebrities including Jacky Heung, Alex To, Jerry Lamb, Edmond Leung, Daniel Chan, Li Wen Han, Wang Yiren, Gong BeiXin, Ma Su, MoMo Wu, Lil Ghost, Bi WenJun, Myolie Wu, Jackie Lui stepped onto CABBEEN’s exclusive yellow carpet, dressed in the brand’s new collection. Their presence lit up the harbour night with fashion and glamour.

Brand founder and designer Yang Ziming (Mr. Cabbeen) called the show “a dialogue with my hometown, Shishi.” In an interview with China Daily, he said: “Every outdoor show carries challenges, but it also offers an irreplaceable natural allure — the sunset, the sea breeze, the shimmer of the water. These are atmospheres no indoor stage can replicate.”
Directed by Xiao Xiangrong, the show fused cultural symbols with modern performance. On the ancient lighthouse by the harbour, a glowing CABBEEN yellow logo stood tall — merging the avant-garde with tradition. The lighthouse, an eternal guardian, symbolizes both guidance for voyagers and light for those returning home.

The 150-metre runway carried four striking suitcases, each marking a milestone in CABBEEN’s journey:
Birth (1997): With Hong Kong’s return, CABBEEN emerged, destined to resonate with the rhythm of Chinese fashion.
Voyage (2004): CABBEEN debuted at the “China-France Culture Year” in Europe, winning the “Most Promising Designer Award.” Recognition turned into prophecy.
Tribute (2019): At China’s National Day celebration, fashion was no longer just attire — CABBEEN’s parade costumes became a love letter to the nation.
Declaration (2025): Not a conclusion but a manifesto: the road is long, the tide is rising, and CABBEEN marches into a new chapter with the world.
The lighthouse illuminated by CABBEEN thus becomes a beacon for China’s fashion industry — a symbol of creativity, perseverance, journeys afar and the return home. In the sea of Xiangzhi, the tide never ceases; it only flows stronger. CABBEEN too, will not stop — forging ahead as Chinese design rises with the tide.
Following its debut store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, CABBEEN continues to expand in Malaysia. The opening of the Sunway Velocity location represents a key step in its Southeast Asia strategy — with plans to open at least nine more stores across Malaysia within the next two years, accelerating its regional footprint. By rooting itself locally, CABBEEN aims to spark a fusion of Chinese street fashion and Malaysia’s multicultural spirit — shaping a bold new narrative for Southeast Asia’s youth.
