Malaysia has officially been announced as the host for the 28th Miss Tourism International 2025 World Final, which will welcome delegates from 38 countries across the globe. The announcement was made during a press conference held in Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil, where details of the upcoming world final were revealed.
Since its establishment in 1994, this esteemed annual pageant has grown into an international platform dedicated to promote tourism, culture and friendship.
The event will take place from 4th to 20th October 2025, culminating in the World Final Coronation Night on 18th October 2025 at the Genting International Showroom (GISR), Resorts World Genting.
For the first 10 days (4 – 13 October 2025), delegates will be based at Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil, where they will participate in promotional initiatives, cultural activities and CSR programs. From 14 to 19 October, the contestants will head to Resorts World Genting for intensive final preparations leading up to the grand coronation.
The timing of the event is especially significant, as it aligns with Malaysia’s efforts to promote Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The 38 international delegates serve as tourism ambassadors to spotlight Malaysia’s diverse attractions and strengthening its global image as a must-visit destination.
Founded and owned by Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, a visionary in the pageant industry who has successfully positioned Malaysia on the World Pageantry Map, the Miss Tourism International brand has expanded from its humble beginnings of 20 participating countries in 1994 to representation in more than 120 countries today.
The Miss Tourism International pageant is defined by its distinctive theme, “Promoting Tourism, Culture & Friendship.” Unlike other global pageants, it stands out by crowning five titleholders in one grand finale, replacing the traditional “runner-up” system with equally prestigious titles under the Miss Tourism International brand.
The 28th Miss Tourism International 2025 will proudly unite delegates from five continents, each carrying the mission of foster cultural exchange and serving as tourism ambassadresses — both for their respective countries and Malaysia in the run-up to VM2026.Through visits to renowned landmarks, CSR initiatives and promotional appearances, the pageant aims to cast an international spotlight on Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourism attractions.

The winners will be chosen by a distinguished panel of judges comprising industry experts, celebrity personalities and former beauty queens. Alongside the main international titles, 2 special awards and 11 subsidiary titles will also be presented during the World Final.
