The Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 To Connect SMEs With Solution Providers To Boost Post-MCO Business Recovery

As one of the most highly anticipated events within the SME community, the Merdeka SME e-Fair will be returning for a second year with even more innovative and exciting features. Money Compass Media, Max Capital Management Holding Ltd, uLearnMONEY, and Celik Wang will be organising the Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 from August 26, 2021, to September 4, 2021. 

The Merdeka SME e-Fair is strongly supported by various associations namely SME Association of Malaysia (SMEAM), Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), Business Network International Malaysia (BNI), Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCI) and Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA). 

With the theme ‘Thriving SME Recovery and Resilience in The New Norm’, the Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 will provide a one-stop SMEs solution cloud platform and also an effective digital channel in helping SMEs to connect with various funding solutions and business solution providers via an easy, efficient, and engaging experience.

According to Ms Amy Seok, Organising Director of the Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021, “Due to the current scenario of the local economy slowing down and the many lockdown restrictions that have been placed, SME businesses are confronting the most stringent challenges. The Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 aims to connect SMEs with solution providers and highlight to SMEs on the many aids that are being offered to them especially in terms of financial solutions.”

“For SMEs to survive and recover post-MCO and post-COVID-19, they need to acquire the necessary skills on how to create funding and cash flow solutions for sustainability, digitally transform their businesses and create new business models,” she added.

The features and activities of the 10-day event will include a virtual e-Fair, multilingual SME webinars, gamification, a commercial video contest, regional networking sessions, business matching, career interviews, talent recruitment, a job matching platform, and also the SME awards presentation, among many others.

The Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 will be segmented into three major parts: virtual exhibition, cloud conference and SME marketplace. SMEs can promote their products and services at the virtual exhibition, acquire trends, information, and knowledge at the cloud conference, and market their products at the SME Marketplace.

Visitors will get a virtual experience like they have never experienced before once they visit the Exhibition Hall at the Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 platform. Each e-booth that will be showcased at the virtual exhibition is digitally crafted to meet the needs of the exhibitors while still attaining a customer-friendly and interactive experience.

The cloud conference in the Webinar Hall will feature webinars and talks by experienced and credible local as well as international speakers from government bodies, various business associations and corporations. The speakers will be discussing many interesting topics such as the PEMULIH package, SME financial solutions, SME HR training and solutions, uplifting SMEs mindset and skillsets, e-commerce, digitalisation, and business funding. 

The third major part of the Merdeka SME e-Fair is the Marketplace Hall, a virtual space for SMEs, organisations, and associations to promote their products and services to the masses. The Marketplace Hall will feature SMEs from various industries such as finance, education, food and beverages, health, digital media, and many more.

The organisers will be presenting the ‘Merdeka SME Excellence Award’ to the most voted e-booth from the virtual exhibition. All visitors of the Merdeka SME e-Fair 2021 will be able to vote for their favourite e-booth once they have registered on the platform.
