Whether conquering streaming charts, collaborating with global icons, or captivating audiences on stage, these artists embody creativity and resilience. In this issue, Top 10 of Asia presents its list of the top 10 best emerging female singers set to define the region’s music scene.

tlinh (Vietnam)

tlinh (Nguyen Thao Linh) is a Hanoi-born rapper, singer-songwriter and dancer who rose to fame as the only female Top 8 contestant in Rap Việt’s first season. Now Vietnam’s leading female artist on Spotify, she won Female Artist/Rapper of the Year at Làn Sóng Xanh 2024, while her debut album ái was listed among NME’s Best Asian Albums of 2023. Fearless and boundary-pushing, she is shaping Vietnam’s new music generation.

Wani Kayrie (Malaysia)

Malaysian singer, Wani Kayrie is an actress and host celebrated for her powerful vocals, charisma and versatility. Rising to prominence through Big Stage, she has since gained millions of streams and a strong following across generations, blending modern pop with traditional influences. Beyond music, Wani has made her mark in acting and television, earning recognition such as winning at the 28th Asian TV Awards in Vietnam, proving her as a dynamic young entertainer.

Shye (Singapore)

Shye, a self-taught Singaporean indie pop and alt-rock artist, first rose to fame at 16 after winning the Vans Musicians Wanted competition. She has since released acclaimed music, opened for global acts like Daniel Caesar and Clairo, and featured on Singapore’s 2021 National Day song. With festival appearances across Asia and the U.S., an NME award, and even a Times Square billboard, Shye also made history as the first Singaporean at Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week.

Bunga (Malaysia)

Bunga is breaking new ground as Malaysia’s first hijabi rapper, blending traditional elegance with rap’s dynamic force. Also a talented singer-songwriter and actress, she was the first Malaysian female rapper to appear on Billboard in Times Square and Bloomberg. With lyrics centred on empowerment and identity, she achieved a career milestone opening for Coldplay in 2023, establishing herself as one of Malaysia’s most innovative and inspiring young artists.

Nadin Amizah (Indonesia)

Since her breakout single Rumpang (2018), Nadin Amizah has emerged as one of Indonesia’s brightest talents. Awarded Best Newcomer and Best Folk/Ballad at the AMI Awards, she later released Selamat Ulang Tahun (2020) to wide acclaim. With Kalah Bertaruh and Untuk Dunia, Cinta dan Kotornya, she gained both critical and commercial success. Internationally, she featured on Spotify’s Times Square billboard through the EQUAL campaign, extending her reach across Asia and beyond.

Linying (Singapore)

Named among Spotify’s 25 Most Influential Artists in Asia and DAZED 100 2024, Linying first rose to fame with her viral single Sticky Leaves. The Singapore-born, LA-based singer-songwriter has since performed at Summer Sonic and Bigsound, released the acclaimed debut There Could Be Wreckage Here, and fronted Spotify’s Global EQUAL campaign. Her 2023 EP House Mouse earned her the International Songwriting Competition win—the first Asian artist to achieve this milestone.

Zom Marie (Thailand)

Marie Eugenie Le Lay—half-French, half-Thai singer, songwriter, actress and YouTuber—first gained recognition as one of the five winners of the LG Starz Talent contest in 2008. Under the alias Zom Marie, she released albums including La Lune (2022) and Sweet And Sour (2024) and has earned millions of views for her emotive covers on YouTube. A graduate with first-class honours in Communication Arts from Rangsit University, she remains a leading figure in Thailand’s contemporary music scene.

Feby Putri (Indonesia)

Indonesian artist Feby Putri is celebrated for her soulful voice and emotive songwriting. Since debuting with Halu in 2019, she has headlined a national tour, built her independent label Bync Records, and won acclaim with Runtuh, her award-winning collaboration with Fiersa Besari. In 2025, she made her international breakthrough performing with K-pop star Loco on MNET’s L1VE WIRE, enchanting audiences across languages and borders.

Chibi (Vietnam)

Vietnamese star Hoàng Yến Chibi blends music and acting with remarkable success. Known for her early hit “Ngây ngô,” she rose through competitions like Học viện Ngôi sao and Tôi là diễn viên before achieving national acclaim in Tháng năm rực rỡ (2018), which won her both Cánh Diều Vàng and Ngôi Sao Xanh Best Actress awards. A charting singer with tracks like “Nụ hôn đánh rơi,” she reaffirmed her artistry with the 2024 mini-album Duyệt.

Bell Warisara (Thailand)

Bell Warisara, a standout Thai artist from the Home Run Music label, rose to prominence through her viral hits like “เอาปากกามาวง” (Give Me a Pen) and “คนหรือไมโครเวฟ” (Microwave)—both beloved across social platforms. With millions of streams, she has earned top accolades from The Guitar Mag Awards, TikTok Awards Thailand, and was crowned Best Female Artist at the TOTY MUSIC AWARDS 2021. In cinema, she has showcased her talent in the film Deep and the TV series 21 วัน มีฉันมีเธอ. Marking her global rise, Bell became the first Thai female artist featured on a massive Spotify EQUAL billboard in New York’s Times Square.
