Jarren Garcia is carving out his own path in the entertainment industry, bringing together his passion for performance, creativity and artistic expression. With a desire to keep developing his craft, he continues to explore different creative avenues while staying true to himself and what he enjoys. His journey reflects the importance of following one’s passion, learning from experiences and finding fulfilment in the work one loves. In an interview with Top 10 of Asia, Jarren shares his experiences in the entertainment industry, the lessons that have shaped him and his aspirations for the future.
Jarren Garcia is an artist and host who grew up in London before moving to the Philippines. “I moved to the Philippines to pursue my career as a singer and TV personality. I had hoped to become a lawyer when I grew up, but my passion led me to the entertainment industry,” he shares.
“I was brought up with a strong Filipino identity, even though I grew up in a Western society. Filipino values, traditions and gatherings were a big part of my life. At the same time, growing up in London exposed me to many different cultures, which have definitely shaped who I have become today,” says the talented singer.

Jarren’s career gained momentum in 2020 when he joined The Voice Kids UK. “That was my first step into showbiz, but stepping into a reality show in the Philippines called Pinoy Big Brother would have to be the most pivotal moment of my career,” he says. The experience brought him recognition across the Philippines and other parts of the world.
“The biggest challenge I’ve encountered would definitely have to be public scrutiny. I’ve learned to view it as constructive criticism and never let negative comments get to me. At the end of the day, it’s a mind game and I choose to remain in control of how I respond to it.”
He stays inspired and motivated by constantly seeking out new ideas, experiences and adventures. “I don’t think I ever allow myself to get bored, and I just pour my heart and soul into the things I’m interested in, such as music, film and fashion.”
When it comes to the values and principles that guide his work and decisions, Jarren believes in trusting the journey and accepting that not every opportunity is meant to be his. “I always live by two phrases: whatever is meant for you will come to you and God’s rejection is my protection.”
He believes that success is not simply about achievements or recognition, but about finding fulfilment in what he does and bringing happiness to the people around him. “I enjoy being able to do the things I love as my job while making the people around me and my loved ones happy.”

While Jarren has yet to pursue acting, it is a creative avenue he is keen to explore. “Acting is something I haven’t pursued, but I’m very interested in exploring it. To me, it’s another form of art and another way to be creative.”
Looking ahead, Jarren remains focused on growing as an artist, creating more music and connecting with audiences beyond the Philippines. For him, the journey is about continually improving his craft, exploring new creative possibilities and reaching more people through his artistry. “I want to improve my artistry, create more music and be loved by more people all around the world.”
For those aspiring to make their mark in the entertainment industry, Jarren’s message is simple: stay strong, be courageous and, above all, remain true to who you are. “Be strong and brave. Most importantly, don’t let anyone else tell you how to be yourself.”
