Renowned B-Boys In Asia – The Top 10

Often described as the heartbeat of hip-hop culture, breaking has grown into a worldwide phenomenon—recognised both as a sport and an art form. It comes alive through dancers who fuse strength, creativity and rhythm, bringing unmatched energy to the dance floor. With signature power moves, these B-Boys captivate audiences through a blend of technical skill and raw expression. Beyond competition, they symbolise dedication and artistry, inspiring a new generation of breakers. In this issue, Top 10 of Asia shares its list of the Top 10 Renowned B-Boys in Asia (presented in no particular order), celebrating their achievements and their role in preserving the essence of hip-hop while shaping its global future.

B-Boy Snake GA (Mike Nattapon)

Mike Nattapon, famously recognised as B-Boy Snake GA, is a 28-year-old professional B-boy from Thailand. As part of the crew NEW3NO, he is well known for his distinctive moves and international appearances, including competing at the BOTY World Final. His achievements include winning the Red Bull BC One Thailand title in 2024 and the BOTY Thailand 1-on-1 B-boy Battle in 2018. He is celebrated for his exceptional precision and strength, especially for blending powerful moves with smooth, stylish transitions. Representing both his crew and country, he continues to perform and compete at breaking events across the globe, such as the Russian Open Breaking Championships

Lego Sam (Sam Jee Lek)

Lego Sam stands among Asia’s most accomplished B-boys, with more than 80 international titles, two SEA Games gold medals and the Red Bull BC One Malaysia crown. Though he has faced injuries in recent years, his determination and passion keep him thriving as both a world-class competitor and a content creator who inspires audiences worldwide. Respected as a role model, he has proudly represented Malaysia on the global stage. Beyond his personal successes, Lego Sam strengthens the community by founding Break2Prove, Malaysia’s largest breaking competition, cementing his influence and leadership in Asian breaking culture.

B-boy Sora (Mohd Firdaus)

Originally from Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, B-boy Sora is the stage name of Mohd Firdaus, a leading Malaysian B-boy and an influential figure in the nation’s hip-hop community. Active since 2012, he is ranked among Malaysia’s Top 3 B-boys in the Malaysia Breaking Championship standings. Having travelled to more than 20 countries for breaking, Sora has claimed victories in competitions across Indonesia, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Germany, and Switzerland. Notably, he has secured a “Double Champion” title, successfully defending his crown in back-to-back victories in the Sarawak Breaking Championship. Beyond competing, he has also taken on the role of judge at international showcases, sharing his expertise to support and strengthen the breaking scene.

G1bboy (Ratchasak Wongngern)

Ratchasak Wongngern, known as B-Boy G1 from Thailand, began breaking at 17 and has since become a respected dancer, judge, and leader in the industry. He has judged prestigious events such as the World B-boy Classic, WDSF competitions, and was head judge at the 2023 SEA Games

His global journey includes performances at FISE Shanghai, FISE Montpellier, and the Mynavi JDSF Breaking Japan Open, along with multiple wins in BOTY titles in Southeast Asia and Thailand. Beyond competing, B-Boy G1 organizes international dance events in Thailand, inspiring dancers locally and worldwide.

B-boy X-Rain (Shang Xiaoyu)

B-Boy X-Rain, captain of the Chinese national breaking team, is a competitive breaker representing the People’s Republic of China on the global stage. In recent years, he has earned notable achievements, including a bronze medal in the Adult Breaking division at the 2025 World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Asian Championship in Shanghai. Having qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics with Team China and secured titles in major international competitions, his upcoming appearance will be at the Red Bull BC One World Final in New York City.

B-boy Hong 10 (Kim Hong-Yul)

A living legend in the breaking scene, Hong 10 is a three-time Red Bull BC One champion and has a move, the “Hong 10 freeze,” named after him. Hailing from South Korea, he is celebrated for his creative move variations and is widely recognized as one of the best in the world. Active since 1996, he has crowned major stages such as the 2024 Paris Olympics and Battle on High. Whether competing solo or with his crew, Hong 10 continues to demonstrate remarkable endurance and inspires the next generation of breakers worldwide. 

B-Boy Shigekix (Shigeyuki Nakarai)

Shigeyuki Nakarai, better known as B-Boy Shigekix, is a standout figure in Japan’s breaking scene and the youngest in a family of breakers. Starting his journey at just seven years old, he gained recognition for his fast, controlled power moves and ability to perform solid freezes on beat. Among his career highlights, Shigekix became the youngest B-Boy to win the Red Bull BC One World Final in 2020 and claimed the gold medallist title in the men’s breaking event in the 2022 Asian Games, held in 2023.

B-Boy Lithe-ing (Qi Xiangyu).

Qi Xiangyu, known in the breaking world as B-Boy Lithe-ing, is a rising talent from China who captured international attention after winning gold in men’s breaking at the 2025 World Games in his home country, defeating other renowned competitors. Distinguished for blending traditional Chinese kung fu elements into his artistic style, Lithe-ing has become a standout figure in China’s breaking scene. His career highlights also include a bronze medal at the 2023 Asian Games, participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics, and competing at the 2025 Asian Breaking Championships in Shanghai.

B-Boy Zooty Zoot (Park Min-hyuk): 

Known for his unique and original style, B-boy Zooty Zoot (Park Min-hyuk) is a South Korean professional B-Boy. Since 2013, he has earned multiple first-place titles in national competitions and has represented South Korea on major stages, including the 2016 Red Bull BC One World Final, where he gained recognition from the World DanceSport Federation. In 2025, he claimed first place in the Open Style 2-on-2 category at “2025 Breaking Summer” as part of the duo FUNK IN THE JINJO. His earlier accomplishments include finishing in the Top 4 at the 2017 Jack & Jones Unbreakable World Final and securing second place at the Red Bull BC One Seoul Cypher.

B-Boy Issei (Issei Hondo)

B-Boy Issei (Issei Hondo) is a Japanese B-Boy celebrated for his power moves and deep musicality, making him a competitor to keep an eye for on the world stage. Rising to international recognition with consecutive victories at the R16 Solo B-Boy competition in 2012 and 2013, he quickly established himself as a force in the scene. A highly accomplished breaker, he became the youngest and first Japanese dancer to win the prestigious Red Bull BC One World Final in 2016, a milestone that secured his place as a global breaking icon and earned him membership in the Red Bull BC One All Stars.
